Introducing The A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar '25th Anniversary' Limited Edition

Introducing The A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar ’25th Anniversary’ Limited Edition

Brisk Take

It’s that time once more: Lange restricted version time! Around this time every month in 2019 (through October), A. Lange & Söhne will deliver an alternate restricted version watch to commend the 25th commemoration of the Lange 1. Each watch is delivered in white gold with a silver dial/blue hands and markers combo that is completely staggering. Today we’re getting the most outrageous manifestation yet, another version of the Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar. The nuts and bolts of what you get are not too far off in the name, yet this watch executes on that guarantee in some truly bizarre and compelling manners. For one thing, the tourbillon is completely covered up, just noticeable through the sapphire caseback, suspended between two bended extensions (engraved with a 25th commemoration theme on account of this LE). At that point there’s the QP, which doesn’t utilize a standard design. All things being equal, Lange exploits the Lange 1’s special dial configuration, setting the months around the external edge, putting the times of the week where you’d regularly discover the force hold marker, and setting the moonphase show in the lower part of the running seconds register. This is a super watch that doesn’t put you to shame with how uber it truly is, and with only 25 models being created, it’s authentically uncommon too.

Introductory Thoughts

I’ve said it previously, however I truly like the manner in which ALS is dealing with the Lange 1’s commemoration. Offering these various references in an uncommon colorway/metal design is a cool thought. It truly flaunts what makes every rendition of the Lange 1 extraordinary, while likewise featuring the key Lange 1 plan qualities that join them all. Being a smidgen on the bigger side at simply a hair under 42mm across, pressing a huge load of data onto the dial, and sitting in the upper value section of Lange’s contributions, this watch probably won’t be my own pick from the 25th commemoration LE parcel ( I’ll stay with the fundamentals ), yet I think the stalwart Lange gatherers will think that its hard to resist.
