Introducing The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Bamford Limited Edition
Last week, TAG Heuer presented a Limited Edition Carrera made in festival of Jack Heuer’s 88th birthday celebration – a delivery I figured would be the last LE of the period for TAG. All things considered, it turns out the brand isn’t done at this point (and who knows whether there is still more to come). Recently, it declared a watch in a joint effort with Bamford Watch Department, the notable watch customization outfit situated in London.
The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Bamford Limited Edition is the second cooperation between the two companies delivered for this present year. The previously was the BWD X Badgerworks TAG Heuer Carrera Caliber 5 with Tropical Coffee Dial . Presently, this new Bamford LE doesn’t have an espresso filled dial, yet it highlights orange accents, a concentric designed dark dial, and a case produced using grade 2 titanium.
In 2017, Bamford turned into the approved customizer of all TAG Heuer watches. From that point forward, it has modified a Monaco , an Autavia, a Carrera, and now this – an Aquaracer. Dissimilar to the next Bamford tweaked TAG Heuer pieces, this is presumably the most present day looking model to join the club. At 43mm, it is no little watch either.
Looking at this new watch, it really comes across as very traditionalist. Bamford is for the most part known for offering striking expressions in its pieces, undermining expectations, playing with shading and differentiation. This watch is absolutely strong, yet more in how any watch is striking – which is certifiably not something awful. There are the striking orange shading prospers in the dial markings, rib, and hands. At that point there is the seconds hand, which is done in a nearly traffic cone-like theme. As addressed before, the profound dark dial includes a concentrically engraved round pattern.
The case, as referenced, is designed from grade 2 titanium. Fundamentally the whole external piece of the watch – arm band included – is sandblasted, which is something I might want to find in the metal. The sandblasting proceeds onto the titanium unidirectional bezel, which flaunts an orange three-sided pip. To cover things off, the Bamford word mark is printed above “Aquaracer” and in equivalent extent to it.
Given the way that it is a jump watch, the Aquaracer Bamford Limited Edition highlights 300m of water obstruction. It is fueled by the Caliber 5 Automatic (a development dependent on the ETA 2824-2). Regarding the general plan, this watch could possibly be an ordinary creation Aquaracer – and a cool one at that – notwithstanding, it is restricted to 1,500 pieces.
