I am too amped up for the current week’s scene. I’ve been a tremendous aficionado of Jeff Garlin’s work for around twenty years, since I previously began watching Curb Your Enthusiasm with my father back around 2000. You may likewise know him for his stand-up comedy or perhaps as the patriarch on ABC’s The Goldbergs, yet anyway you know Jeff, you’ll know he’s a truly clever person. Furthermore, on the current week’s scene, Jeff doesn’t disappoint.
Jeff and I were presented some time back by a shared companion in the Leica photography community. Jeff is an enthusiastic picture taker – he had a show at the Leica Gallery in Los Angeles prior this year called A Big Bowl of Wonderful – and we hit it off right away. It turns out we share a great deal for all intents and purpose past photography as well. We both love music, we both love comedy (okay, he has a genuine edge on me there), and we’re both ingrained authorities of the things we’re energetic about. Jeff got into watches generally as of late, because of an intriguing behind the stage discussion with another comedy legend, however I will allow you to hear that story straightforwardly from him in the show itself.
It’s not very frequently nowadays that we devote an entire scene to a solitary visitor, however Jeff and I could scarcely quit talking at the one-hour imprint, and I truly didn’t have any desire to leave anything on the cutting room floor. We cover a great deal of ground as well, everything from why we like cleansing our assortments subsequent to hoarding them, how we draw associations between the things we’re enthusiastic about in an unexpected way, and how Jeff approaches the various types of work he does, from acting to confront photography.

Jeff’s go-to watch is this great TAG Heuer Monaco with the type 12 chronograph development. He enjoys that the watch can be spruced up or down and that he doesn’t need to infant it – plus, the dial is very decipherable which helps when he’s monitoring time in front of an audience doing hold up. This is one of those occasions when I think the correct individual and the correct watch have fortunately discovered each other. This watch is a work of art, yet with current updates. It’s high caliber, yet honest. It will be similarly as cool a long time from now as it was 50 years prior when the Monaco was new on the scene.
