Sean Connery Passes Away At 90
The Rolex ref. 6538 as seen here in Thunderball, 1965.
On this Halloween morning here in New York, I welcome you to peruse Jason Heaton’s December 2019 post “The Watches Of James Bond (And Why They Matter).” Jason’s article offers a lot of setting to go with the watches he talks about. He makes reference to a watch that originates before the filmic 007, the “substantial Rolex Oyster” worn in Fleming’s pages, just as numerous ensuing watches that have showed up on the wrists of entertainers who continued in Connery’s huge footsteps. It’s an incredible read, and one that bears revisiting.
But today, as I filter the James Bond films presently accessible on the standard web-based features, I realize I’ll be picking a mid one including Sean Connery and a Submariner.
