In what has become a yearly convention around here, for our last post of the year, we surveyed a choice of HODINKEE colleagues to discover which watches saw the most wrist time in 2020. Some you know well, and others you presumably don’t; the HODINKEE group has developed significantly in the course of recent years, and we’re eager to share the watch-geek experiences of a portion of the lesser-known individuals from the group that keep this boat moving.

And on the grounds that this was a year like none other, we did it somewhat better this time around. In this time of video communication, it felt suitable for you to see and hear our colleagues disclose to you firsthand about their most-worn watches of 2020. This incorporates editors, client experience partners, creators, photographic artists, and that’s only the tip of the iceberg, and even a couple of our associates at HODINKEE.jp .

Below, you can find out about a little example of the outcomes; to see every one of the 30, hit play on the video above.

We trust you appreciate, and kindly let us realize which watch you wore the most in 2020 by dropping a comment or labeling us on Instagram ( @hodinkee ). Glad New Year!

Ian Cox, Designer: Grand Seiko SBGW231

“As a fashioner, I give a great deal of consideration to the subtleties, and there’s nothing that feels strange on this watch. Everything is completely executed, and that is the reason this is the watch that I wore most this year.”

“I have a revolution with one of my plunge watches, however I found that on those long, cool cold weather days when I’m wearing an excessive number of layers, this is simply more comfortable, and I scarcely feel it on my wrist.”

James Stacey, Senior Writer: Seiko SPB143 Prospex Diver

“It’s the perfect size, I love the particular and the recorded plan language, and it simply looks extraordinary on a NATO.”

Yu Sekiguchi, Editor-In-Chief, HODINKEE Japan: Cartier Santos

“I purchased this watch to commend the dispatch of HODINKEE Japan a year ago. I love this combination – yellow gold and treated steel. The MM size is viable to the point that I don’t have to take it off while working at the desk.”

Danis Cespedes, Customer Experience Associate: Ladies' Bulova

“This watch I wore the day that I really got occupied with 2020 –  and the crown really tumbled off that day. So I’m wanting to have it fixed and possibly wear it the day I get married…”
